Show REYNOLDS TIPS JACK BRENTANO Cnwlle Puts End to Lightning Fast Match; Christian Kayos Allen. The famous Reynolds cradle hold put an end to the speediest wrestling match in the history of the Park Ro-She arena, Monday night, when Dave Reynolds defeated de-feated Jack Brentano, two falls out of three. It was a spectacular match, fraught with thrills and spills. Brentano took the first fall in 20 minutes with an Indian death lock but Reynolds came back in 15 minutes to apply the rolling cradle putting excruciating pressure on the plucky Canadian. Brentano came back for the third round limping badly. In jig-time jig-time Reynolds had him writhing in another cradle and Jack conceded the fall and the match. His leg was painfully injured in the second sec-ond fall. 1'iirk Wins Dean Park of Orem tossed Jack Malone of Denver with a body prcs3 in 20 minutes. Malone was no match for Park. Ned Taylor, who had been scheduled to go on with Park, did not appear. Knockouts featured the boxing program, which was spiced with several humdinger slugging bees. . It looked like a battle royal when Roy Christian of Provo and Glen Allen or Springville went in the ring, so fast did the leather fly. These boys tore in like a pair of Wildcats, with Allen having hav-ing a slight edge in the first two rounds, but Christian taking the third. In the beginning of the fourth, round both were arm-weary from punching. As Allen came out of his corner, Christian measured meas-ured him with a right-hand, clear from the shoestrings, and smako! Down went Allen for the count. Howe Kayos Wilson : Another slugging match developed devel-oped between Woodrow Howe of Provo and Tommy Wilson of Pay-s6n, Pay-s6n, with Howe winning in the third round by a knockout. Wilson Wil-son was game, but could not cope with the swinging blows of Howe. Homer Cooms, Springville, knocked out Ted Nielsen, Payson, in the second round of a scheduled sched-uled three-rounder. . A solar plexus plex-us blow put Nielsen down for the count. Kayo Jackson failed to appear to face Arcade Pierce, so Promoter Promo-ter Henry Jones put on Jimmy Walcott, colored, of Salt Lake, with Frank Manning; Ogden. Wal-cot Wal-cot knocked out Manning in the third round. Walcott had his op ponent down for 9 counts in both the first and second rounds. In a preliminary, Kid Carter 'decisioned Ken Peterson. . |
