Mrs. Stella Wixom has returned from a trip to Greenriver, Wyo., where she visited her daughter, Mrs. Aiieen Higgensen and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Childs, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thorpe, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bird entertained a group of friends at a party at Sulphur Springs, Saturday night. Ball games, music and supper were enjoyable features of the party. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Finley and two sons have returned from a several days' visit with Mrs. Fin-ley's Fin-ley's father, Mell Roylance, and her brothers Lamar and Grant Roylance and families, at Hazel-ton, Hazel-ton, Idaho. Mrs. Floyd Kelly and son George Keiiey's mother, Mrs. Daisy Kelley of Pueblo, Colo., are visiting Mr. and other relatives in this city. She plans to return to her home Sunday. Members of the Zenos 4-H club were entertained at the home of their leader, Mrs. Lcona Curtis, Cur-tis, Saturday afternoon. The girls worked on their record books and discussed plans for the county outing. Refreshments were served in conclusion. Complimentary to Bliss Packard and Dick Boorman who left Sat-, urday to attend school in Los Angeles, and Sacramento, Calif., respectively, Gene Baker and Lamar Fricl entertained at a farewell fare-well party, at the Friel home Friday Fri-day night. Dancing and refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed. In attendance attend-ance were Miss Joyce Bee, Provo, Bliss Packard, Miss Mina Riding, Gene Baker, Miss Marian Smart, Lamar Friel, Robert Bird, Miss Barbara Ward of Provo, Lynn Johnson, Miss Delia Houtz( Grant Nielson, Miss LaDean Harkcr. Miss Betty Erickson has returned return-ed home after spending the past week as the guest of Miss Lenore Hopla. Miss Lenore Hopla is visiting in Salt Lake as the guest of Miss Betty Erickson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Erickson. Mrs. Emily Hatch and daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Charles Conover and Mrs. Stella Wixom, attended the Hatch reunion at Liberty park, recently. Relatives from all parts of this state and Idaho and California Cali-fornia were in attendance, totaling approximately 300.. The day was spent, with games, program and lunch. Complimentary to Mr. and Mrs. Ray S. Alleman of this city, who were married last week, Mrs. Eva Crandall entertained at a nicely arranged social at her home, Monday Mon-day night. Games and a tasty lunch were enjoyed by all. Prizes for the evening's games were awarded to Mr. Alleman and Mrs. Carlisle Crandall. The guest list included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alleman, Mrs. Allic D. Caff all, Deon Caffall, Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Car-lisle Crandall, Mr. and Mrs. Max Warner, Lowell Crandall, Mrs. Delia Harris and Mrs. ohn Fletcher. The Gleaner girls of the Second ward entertained at a social and program at the ward chapel Tuesday Tues-day night in honor of their mothers moth-ers and also Mrs. Ray S. Alleman, Alle-man, who was recently wed and who also has been stake Gleaner girl leader. Mrs. Alleman too will leave in the near future to make her home in the east. A feature fea-ture of the program was a review of the book "The Gay Family," by Ethel Boileau, given by Mrs. Alleman. Miss Mary Boyer, president presi-dent of the class, welcomed the mothers and Mrs. Margaret Miner responded. A violin duet was given by Miss Phylis Smart and Miss Claudia Billings, accompanied by Miss Marian Smart. In behalf of the girls in the class, Miss Dally Thalman presented Mrs. Alleman with a lovely gift. At the close of the party dainty refreshments were served. An attractive color scheme was carried out, with the table centered with golden glow and yellow tapers in green holders |
