Show SOCIETY NEVS Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Crandall entertained en-tertained members of the Crandall and Robertson families at their home, in the form of a reunion last Saturday evening in honor of Leo A. Crandall, who recently returned re-turned from a mission. An enjoyable en-joyable time was spent with a program, pro-gram, games and social chat. In conclusion refreshments were served to a large group. Mrs. Bessie Whitney Thorn will be hostess to the members of the Mapleton Daughters of Pioneers at her home in Springville on Thursday, April 12. An excellent program is arranged for the occasion occa-sion and all members are urged to be present. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Clyde and daughter of Chicago, Illinois, are spending their vacation with relatives rela-tives and friends here. enterainment with high score prize won by Mrs. Lewis Clegg. Luncheon Lunch-eon was served at 11 o'clock to twelve club members and guests. Aaron Johnson, D. U. P. camp will hold their April meeting at the Relic hall, Thursday, April 12. All members are urged to be "pres-ent "pres-ent as officer for the camp will be elected and an excellent program is arranged for the afternoon. Mrs. Ida Brady of Hollywood, Calif., spent several days of the past week with relatives here. She came especially to attend-serv-ices for her father, John P. Anderson, Ander-son, held in the First ward Friday. Fri-day. Members of the Springville Ki- i wanis club visited the various ' clubs of the state the past week to invite them to the annual Ki-wanis Ki-wanis art luncheon here April 26. Visits were made as follows:: Dr. John Anderson, C. O. Claudin, to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Masters of Bingham and Mrs. Annie Smith of Salt Lake were visitors last Sunday at the home of Mrs. Sarah Palfreyman and family. A large group of Relief society stake board members, from Kolob stake went to Salt Lake Wednesday Wednes-day to attend the Relief society sessions of quarterly conference. Of interest to their many friends here is the announcement of the engagement of Miss Lillian Bird, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. jDImer Bird of Mapleton to Leo Crandall of this city, the marriage to take, place this month. Mr. and Mrs. J. X. Gardner and son Hugh X. spent Thursday with relatives and friends in Salt Lake. John A. Anderson and family of Bingham spent several days of the past week with relatives in this city. Complimentary to her son Orin who was seven years olu Saturday Mrs. J. C. Nielson entertained a group of school friends at their home in the afternoon. Games and luncheon were enjoyed by all. Members of the Social Twelve club were guests of Mrs. W. H.
