Anderson, both of March Field, Calif., and Major Younger Pitts of Barksdale Field, Louisiana. The crew was in the plane when it crashed in an open field about three m"s?os west of the airport. The men escaped from the wreckage wreck-age before it burst into flames. Cause of the crash was not determined de-termined immediately. Witnesses said the pilot apparently was making" a forced landing. |
