POLICE HOLD SUSPECT HERE Safe Containing $S0 Stolen From Liberty Cafe Tuesday Morning;. Frank Phillips, of Philadelphia, was arrested Tuesday morning by members of the Provo police department de-partment in connection with a robbery rob-bery of the Liberty cafe sometime early Tuesday morning. The thieves carried away a small safe containing about $80 in silver as well as some valuable papers. The safe was recovered at a garage on East First West The door was 'pried off and the contents taken. Phillips was arrested in a local rooming house and a large amount of money in dimes, nickels and quarters was found in his possession. posses-sion. A black-jack made by placing a large rock in a sock was found in his room also. He is being held by local officers for further investigation. investiga-tion. A similar black-jack ..was found in their abandoned aban-doned room and the sock used was the mate to the one used by Phillips.
