Show G. 0. P. PRIMARY IN SPRINGVILLE Republicans Form Precinct Organizations and Choose Delegates. Pursuant to a call of the Republican Republi-can party a primary was held at the Springville City Hnll Saturday evening even-ing September 13. Dr. John R. Anderson acted as chairman and John S. Groesbeck was acting secretary. A precinct organization for the ensuing year was perfected ; twenty-five twenty-five delegates and eight alternates were elected to the Utah county convention con-vention to be held in Spanish Fork, Friday -September 19, 1924, at 10 o'clock and a precinct constable and precinct justice were nominated. The precinct organization consisted consist-ed of a president, vice president, secretary sec-retary and an executive committee composed of two persons from each of the Toting precincts of Springville Spring-ville as follows : president, Frank Celventra ; vice president, Mrs. Eliza Thorn ; secretary-treasurer, John R. Kindred; executive committee, com-mittee, first precinct. Dr. Nelson Real and Mrs. Anna Bird; second, Harold Alleman and Mrs. D. A. Campbell ; third, M. O. Packard and Mrs. A. O. Packard; fourth, Mont Johnson and Mrs. II. M. Dougall ; fifth, John S. Groesbeck and Miss Sophia Packard. Delegates elected to the county convention were : Frank Celventra. i Mrs. Anna Bird, Mrs. D. Johnson, Wallace Bird, Nephi Straw, M. O. Packard, M. R. Straw, J. F. Bringhurst, Enstham Clegg, Win. Mower, Dr. Nelson Beal, Dr. John R. Anderson, John S. Groesbeck, Mrs. Eliza Thorn, Mrs. Jennie Starr and Mrs. Mary J. Finley. Alternates, Ford Crandall, H. M. Dougall, John Sum-sion, Sum-sion, C. A. Starr, Wm. Walnwright, Mrs. Harold Alleman, Mrs. W. H. Kelsey and Mrs. J. M. Brown. The nomination for precinct constable con-stable was D. A. Crandall and for precinct justice Orson Hutchinson. The delegation was instructed to give their united support to Richard Lovell Mendenhall of Mnpleton for county commission for the four year term. |
