Show CHAMPS SWAM? SPANISH FORKS Springville High School Easily Defeats Opponents, Score 62-10. The state high school champion Springville quint of last year go! into action Wednesday evening and swamped the Spanish Fork five by the lnp-sided score of 02 to 10. The losers never had a chance al'ler the first quarter, in which they showed their best work. The score was 9 to 4, but after the short rest the Springville hoys started an offensive offen-sive that could not bo stopped. The half ended 34 to 4, with Spanish Fork hardly able to shoot for the hoop. The second half showed the champs in fine form, and they ran up their total to 00 while Spanish Fork gathered five counters. During Dur-ing the third setto Coach Smith injected in-jected his entire second team into the combat, and while they were able to make but two additional points, they held the losers scoreless. score-less. Springville showed wonderful fighting qualities and real team work. Clark, Cranmer and Thorn gathered in fifteen points each, and Hurt was a close second with thirteen, thir-teen, (iraham did not fare so well as his regular teammates, scoring but a lone basket. .Jackson did tiie best work for the defeated quint.
