He was the son of William Jasper and Martha Ann Smith Harris and ' ; was born in Salt Lake City, Aupust 15, 1803. He lived in Salt Lake City and Provo while a youth. At 17 years of ape he filled a mission , in the Hawaiian Islands. For more than 15years he lived J ; in Mammoth, after which he be- t came interested with his brother in the contracting business and spent ' the greater portion of his time in j Missouri, Texas and New Mexico. ; During the past ten years he had ' , spent mo.st of his time in Spring ville. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. ( . Delia Twede Harris, one daughter, ' Julina, three brothers, William J. , ' Harris and F. H. Harris of Texas and John F. Harris of Payson; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Corhett, Mrs. Rosina C. Dennis, Mrs. Martha A. 1 Startup and Mrs. Sarah L.
