Show FUNERAL HELD IN SPRINGVILLEi Services Over Remains of Aged Icelander, Thorinn Bjarnson. ' Funeral services were held in the Springville First ward chapel Sunday Sun-day afternoon for Thorinn Bjarnson . age 73 who died at his home in .. Springville last Thursday morning. ' Bishop O. B. Huntington was iu j charge. The music was furnished j by the ward choir. A male quartet quar-tet consisting of Guy Brown, Glenn 1 AVllher and Ronald Allen and a duet hy Mrs. May Senior nnd Glenn Allen. The invocation was offered by Jolm II. Miinwaring nnd the benediction benedic-tion liy T. It. Greener. The speakers were Bishop O. IS. Huntington, C. ' TV. Ericksou and John S. Boyer, Sr. Interment was in the Spanish Foil; city cemetery tinder the direction direc-tion of A. Y. Wheeler, undertaker. Mr. Bjarnson was a native of Iceland. He joined the I,. D. S. church in the year IRS2 and the fol-lowiiiR fol-lowiiiR year eminigrnled to Utah. l'r lack of finances he wns forced , to leave three of his six children in Icolnnd until after his arrival in l'tnh. Later lie sent the money nnd they ciime on nnd joined their parents par-ents in Spanish Fork. In the year ISii.'i. lie filled a mission for the T,. D- S. church to his native country "t which time he made the first translation 0f the Doctrine and Covenants Cov-enants into the Icelander language. He moved his family from Spanish Span-ish Fork to Springville in 1007 where lie resided until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ingl'ulder Bjarnson.
