The meet was one of the best of several years between the two schools. The one regretable feature of the meet was when Furlong of Young dropped the baton in the SSO-yard relay race. He was leading at the time and the race promised to be one of the most hotly contested of the meet. The Cougars took everything in the 440-yard run, the high jump and pole vault, while the Utes monopolized monopo-lized the 100-yard dash. "Frosty" Richards, smarting under his two-feet defeat at Logan a week ago, broke the record in the two-mile run, lowering the record rec-ord made by Whitney of the Aggies when he beat Frosty. The new record is 10 minutes 28 1-5 seconds, or 4 4-5 seconds lower than the former time. Frosty maintained the lead from the start and burst forth with a most remarkable sprint on the last 150 yards. He was more than 100 yards ahead of Amott, "U" second place man. A large number of fans and students stu-dents from both institutions were present at the dual track and field meet between the Young university and the University of Utah on the "Y" athletic field Saturday afternoon. after-noon. From then on the two runners uncorked un-corked a sprint such as is seldom seen here. Wakefield pushed to the lead the last few feet.
