Show UTAH COUNTY BUSINESSMAN DIES ON COAST Jonathan S. Page HI of Pay-son Pay-son Passes Away Following 1 Operation PAY SOX, Jan., la. Word was received re-ceived Tuesday from Santa Barbara, Cnl., of the death that morning of Jonathan S. Page, III. Mr. and Ms. I'age left Payson December 2S on the California excursion. They left San Francisco for Los Angeles on December 27. Mr. Page become ill and at Santa Barabra was taken from the train and removed to u hospitl where he was operated on for appendicitis. Although Al-though it was a very serious case he was apparently on the road to recovery when word came of his death. The entire community is profoundly grieved. lie was born in Pnyson on Xovem-hr Xovem-hr 23, INK.'i, the oldest son of the late Jonathan1 S. I'age, Jr., and Lillie Curtis Page, lie received his education in the Payson schools and at the B. Y. U.. His wife was Miss Clara Uuish and three children were born to them, tho oldest; son dicing thirteen years ago. Since the dealh of his father in 10i:j, Mr. Page had been manager of the I'age Furniture Co., and of 500 acres of irrigated farm and orchard. He had been a member of the Nebo stake high council for the past eight years. Previous to that time he was a member of the stake Sunday school board nnd president of the elders quorum of the Second ward. He had ben chairman of the local Republican party since lillo and was a member of the county central oommiittee. He was one of the most active directors of the Strawberry Water Users association since its organization and was vice president of the chamber of commerce. The local farm bureau has always al-ways received his endorsement and he had been one of its active members.. mem-bers.. He is survived by his widow and two children, Fern and Boyd Page and the following brothers and sisters, sis-ters, Arza C. Page, local postmaster and a member of the .'obo stake presidency, George W. Page, who is studying dentistry in Los Angeles, r;avl S.
