Show PIONEER SONS-AND SONS-AND DAUGHTERS PICf(OFFICRS Springville Indian War Organizations Organ-izations Hold Annual Meeting Meet-ing Elections. The annual dancing parly and banquet of the Springville Sons and Daughters of the Indian War Veterans Vet-erans and Pioneers took place Friday Fri-day evening Jan. 25. The dancing began in the Opera house at 3 p. m. and at C p. m. nil adjourned to the Fraternity hall and enjoyed their picnic while the following fol-lowing program was rendered. Vocal solo Catherine Dougall; invocation in-vocation II. Lee Boyer; tribute to the veterans and pioneers, A. J. .Tacobson ; reminiscence of Black Hawk, J. M. Westwood; Mr. West-wood West-wood stated that it has been just 30 years on the 24 day of January since the first Indian war veterans gathering gath-ering was held ; Comrade Johnson of Provo paid a tribute to the sons and daughters of the veterans and complimented com-plimented them for carrying on their gatherings in cqmmemoration of the deeds of their fathers ; Henry Gardner of Spanish Fork gave a short talk in which he paid a high tribute to the pioneers and Indian war veterans; the Mapleton male quartet rendered four selections during dur-ing the program. Uncle John S. Boyer, age 83, put the motion that everybody present be sure and be back to the gathering in one year from now. At the close of the program it was voted to contribute out of the treasury treas-ury the sum of S50 towards the Dallin monument to be erected on the city park in memory of the boys who lost their lives in the recent re-cent great world war. In the electing of officers the present incumbents were re-elected to serve a term of two years. After the program and luncheon dancing was continued in the opera house until midnight.
