Clark III, of Los Angeles. asked the aid of police' today in I searching for his wife's jewels, val- ued at $65,000, which he believes he left in a taxicab last "night. Clark, grandson of the late senator sena-tor from Montana, rode from the Cunard line pier to the Savoy-Plaze hotel last night after he and Mrs. Clark landed from a voyage from Paris. Clark was looking after Mrs. Clark's dog and was planning to take it out of the hotel for a walk last night when' his wife asked about the' gems. The Clarks seemed unperturbed by the loss of the jewels. They were said, to be planning to leave for Los Angeles today by train.
