Show FIREMEN OF SPRINGVILLE GIVEBANQUET Mayor George A. Anderson, the Springville city councilmen and their partners, were special invited guests at a banquet and social given by the city firemen at the Fire hall Friday evening. Ralph Snolson was toastmaster. The banquet which was in charge cf (he ladies of the Firemen association asso-ciation was served at long tables centered with beautiful baskets of carnations. Covers were- laid for about 40 members and guests. During the evening a nicely-arranged program was given as follows: fol-lows: violin duct. Miss Hazel Anderson An-derson and Thelma Palfreyman accompanied ac-companied by Miss Glcsria Friel at the piano, the high school trio, including in-cluding Donna Snelson, Inez Starr and Donna Dillingham rendered two vocal selections; piano solo by Miss Gloria Friel; vocal duet Mr. and Mrs. Guy Brown accompanied by Mrs. Ler, Weight. In addition to the musical program short talks were given by Mayor Anderson, Chief of Police Frank Cellventra, Councilmen Will Whitehead and Glenn Dallin. After the program the party was delightfully entertained with motion mo-tion pictures of various local scenes which had been taken and were operated by Ralph Snelsc.n. The evening's entertainment was concluded con-cluded with various games and social so-cial chat. |
