Games were also enjoyed by twenty-seven niemliers and guests. Mrs. Mary Starr end Mrs, Sarah Mendenhall' of Salt Lake were guests last week at the home of1 Mrs. Jennie Starr. The members of Ihe Alpha Beta club were entertained at the home of Mrs. Eliza Thorn Friday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. E. E. Knudsen gave the plnv "The Ood Brown," by Eugene O'Neil. Richard Thorn sang two vocal solos. Miss Madge Peterson of the B. V. U. also sang two solos. De'lcious refreshments were served to seventeen members and nine guests. The members voted to help with the campaign to beautify our city. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Weight of Salt Lake City spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Weight. The Boy Scouts organization of the First ward entertained their parents, the ward bishopric and a number of scout officials at a social so-cial in the ward chapel Saturday evening. A program which consisted consist-ed of stunts by the different patrols, talks upon scout; work by J. F. Iihema Weight. One of the most successful dancing danc-ing parties of this season was given in the opera house Friday evening ihv the Junior class of the S. H. S. jThe decorations and program carried car-ried out a color scheme in pastel shades. An exceptionally large, crowd was in attendance and a great number came from neighboring neighbor-ing towns. . The members of the Social Twelve card club will meet at the home of Mrs. Anuria Rowland" Thursday evening. The game of five hundred will be featured and a'l members j are urged to be present. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Knudsen and two children were guests at the heme of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hold-away Hold-away Sunday. The occasion was in honor of Mr. Knudsen's mother,1 whose birthday anniversary occur-1 ' red upon that date. Will Koyer of Salt Lake City spent Sunday in Springville. The Fourth ward Primary conference confer-ence was held Sunday evening in the ward chapel, with the president Mrs. Iluttie Blackett, in charge.
