Show Father Knows By C. E. FLYGARE. Let me admonish you to listen to your father, young man. He knows a whole lot more than you think he docs. He hns been through the mill the same mill through which you have to pass. Father is not an old fogey or crank as you may suppose ; he knows a lot of things. He hns not told you and he Is trying to swerve you around the corners so you will escape some of the rocks he ran upon when he was about your age. Don't think, my boy, that he is asking you to do anything to punish pun-ish you. His requests are not made because he docs not want you to have a good time and be like other hoys, but with his mature years he sees better what you need to avoid and what you may need to make you a full-fledged full-fledged man. You do not wish to be a man whom eople will not respect, hence your father, who has been through the mill, knows better than you do what to choose for your recreatoon. Father is as much-interested In your pleasures and success in life as you are. Because he can see n little farther far-ther a head than you can ; because he knows the results of certain thhms: because he is pntiont and tnkfs the time to study out exactly what will follow a certain course of conduct; you may imagine that he is stimding ill your wa. Don't get that into our head. |
