Show Mrs. Jessie Jones Strong And Baby Son Are Killed . A tragic automobile accident which cost the ' life of a young-mother young-mother and her 10-month-old babe occurred Sunday morning 15 miles northeast of St. George, when Mrs. Jessie Jones Strong, formerly of Provo, and her son, Kent Strong were killed. Former PiOvo Girl Mrs. Strong is the wife of Ray Strong, formerly of Springville, and , a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. , Jones of Provo. She was on her i way from Huntington, California, j her home, to visit her parents in , company with Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. j Healey, also of Huntington. Mrs. j Healey and Mrs. Strong were sisters. sis-ters. Mr. and Mrs. Healey sustained minor injuries in the crash when the car left the road and turned 1 over. Officers are looking for a woman driver who is thought to have rammed ram-med the Healey car from the rear, thereby causing Healey to lose control. con-trol. Efforts to stop the car which is believed to have hit them were unavailing, the woman driving away from the scene of the accident acci-dent at a high speed. Earl Jones, a brother, and three brothes-in-law went to St. George, Sunday as soon as word of the accident ac-cident was received here, to bring Mr. and Mrs. Healey to Provo. The body of Mrs. Strong and her son were shipped to Provo Monday Rav Strong, the husband and father fa-ther of the victims arrived here Tuesday morning. Survivors Listed In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Strong is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Paul S. Healey, Huntington Park, Calif.; Mrs. Edwin Ed-win Vest, Ogden; Mrs. Joseph Benson, Ben-son, Provo; Mrs. E. Jack Peterson, Peter-son, and the Misses Myrle and Vivian Viv-ian Jones all of Provo; three brothers, broth-ers, Earl, R.onald and Lcston Jones, also of Provo. She was born in Provo and received re-ceived her early education in the Provo city schools, Provo high "chcol and later the Brigham Young university. She was actively active-ly engaged in ward activities and at one time was an earnest M. I. A. worker in the Provo Fifth ward. Last January she and her husband hus-band left Utah to make their home at Huntington Park. Funeral services were held Wednesday Wed-nesday in Provo Fifth ward chapel. |
