Show FIRE DESTROYS BARNANDHAY Fire thought to have been started start-ed by small children playing with matches, completely destroyed a barn half full of hay and stables belonging to Rufus Averett in the Springville Fourth word, last Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. The blaze started in the top of the hay. The roof of the barn was all aflame before the fire had been seen by anyone. The Springville firedepnrtment responded to the alarm in a very short time and succeeded in keeping the fire from spreading to other buildings near by. Loss is estimated at approximately approximate-ly .$1000 partly covered by insurance. insur-ance. The same day the fire department was called out about at 11:30 p. m. to the residence of George Brails-ford Brails-ford where a chicken coop was burning. The department arrived in time to keep the fire from spreading spread-ing into the nearby barns. |
