Show PIONEER OF 1850 ANSWERS DEATH CALL Mrs. Alvira Jane Clark Died Wednesday at Family Home Mrs. Alvira Jane (Ma rk, widow of John (.'lark, died Wednesday morning at her home, 1-12 North Second Kast street, after a protracted protract-ed illness following a stroke two years ago. M is. Clark was well-known and highly respected, having taken an active; interest in community and religious affairs for many years. She was born in Noble, Iai Porte county, Indiana, March 27, JHi:, and came to riaii wilh her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Pratt, in 1Kfi0. The family came to Provo the following fol-lowing year and lived here until IKCJl when they were called by lirlg-liam lirlg-liam Young to move In Paligiiltch. Mrs. Clark moved back to Provo in M!2 where she had since then resided. Surviving her are one son, John T. Chirk of Suit Lake City; four daughters, Mrs. Clara Ilenrle. FJUo, Nov.. Mrs. Flo C. Speckhart. Salt Lake City, Mrs. pearl C. Yates, Provo and Mrs. Arvilla Clark Ande-lin, Ande-lin, Chicago. She is also survived by 14 grand children and 12 great grand children, one brother, Ilyruin Pratt of Los Angeles and one sister, Mrs. Clara Loveridge, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held Friday Fri-day afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Provo Fiflh ward chapel. The body may be viewed prior to the services at the family residence. Interment will be iu the Provo city cemetery under the directoon of the Porg Mortuary. |
