Show DEFENSE DAY TO BE OBSERVED At a meeting of the Utah county draft board held with Senator Leltoy Dixon as chairman, it was decided to call upon all military and civic organizations in Utah county to join in the general program pro-gram and exhibition for National Defense day, September 12. It is the desire of the board that all able-bodied mon between the ages of 38 and 4., should register themselves for one day's service for the United States.., If is simply a matter of giving a demonstration of the man-power of America or of taking stock of "America's physical ability. The idea back of the national defense de-fense law is to keep constantly before be-fore the people of our nation our normal strength in times of peace that we may not be too seriously surprised or disappointed in case of any future emergencies. , The program for the day will include in-clude a parade of all . registered men and those who may desire to form in the parade with a fine patriotic program to be held at Pioneer park in-the evening. It is assumed that the program will be ready for publication by tomorrow's issue. . Captain Kenneth Decker is enlisting, en-listing, for Defense day only, r:t' company, com-pany, which include experienced and inexperienced men, in response to a request from the U.
