Show Annual Pow-wow of Scout Leaders Set for October 12 at Provo Oscar A. Kirkhnm, scout executive execu-tive of the Salt Lake council, Boy Scouts of America, is to be the speaker at the annual pow-wow of the executive board and workers of the Timpanogos district council flojbehelxl in room D of the Education building at the Young university Monday evening, October 12, at 7 o'clock, according to a statement issued is-sued by Dr. F. S. Harris, president of the council. "This is to be the annual get-together meeting of the. year, which aways precedes the annual Scout drive for funds," President Harris said. "All of the executive board of the council, the chairmen of the various districts, the various committeemen, com-mitteemen, the scout masters, the presidents of stnlces, the bishops of wards, the M. I. A. stake presidents as well as the ward presidents and all others who are interested enough to come are invited to participate. "A rousing program has been prepared for the visitors. Prof. William F. Hanson, head of thej music department of Brigham Young university, has been asked, to call freely upon his department to furnish furn-ish music of unusual quality. Other musical organizations may be brought in to assist on the program. Oscar A. Kirkham, scout executive of the Salt Lake counci, a man who is known on two continents for his enthusiasm and abiity as a speaker, has been invited to give the principal princi-pal address. "We want this meeting to be sparkling with enthusiasm, as we are looking forward to the greatest year in the history of scouting this council has ever- had." The program, according to the program committee which was made up of Clayton Jenkins, secretary-treasurer secretary-treasurer of the council ; A. A. Anderson, An-derson, scout executive and F. s. Harris, president, is as follows;. The first part. of the meeting will be devoted to music. Housing musical musi-cal numbers will be rendered by selected musicians. The music will be followed by three minute reports from thef chairmen of the various committees in the executive board. These wil consist of a report on finance, by Chairman Stephen L. Chipman; one on camping hv Chairman Chair-man J. William Knight; a report on leadership training by Chairman Carl F. Eyring; a report on troop organization by Chairman S. L Mondenhall; a report on civic ser-service, ser-service, by Chairman O. K. Hansen ; a reiiort on the court of honor by Chairman George H. Brimhall and one on educational publicity by IT R. Morrill. ' ' These reports will he followed by music and by the main address of the evening which is be delivered by Oscar A. Kirkham.
