Funeral services for Mrs. Try-pl'.enia Try-pl'.enia Kuseallhat Whitney, :;e 77. who died at her home in Spring-villi' Spring-villi' last Thursday, were held nr the Mapleton w::id chapel Su;.d::y :ifier-lio:.n :ifier-lio:.n IVecmbor 21. with bishop Richard J.ovell Mendenhall in eha rge. T!ie floral offering was exceptionally exception-ally largo and beautiful. Musical numbers were furnished by the Mapleton male quartet com- j posed of rand and Howard Waters. j Glen Ibdley and Leslie limn.. VA-mer VA-mer liird gave a vocal solo. The speakers were Oscar Whiting. Patriarch O. . Huntington. John II. I.ee and lisbop Lorren A. Nielsen. Niel-sen. The invocation was by K. M. Snow and the benedietlon by W. Iloutz. The iniennent was in the Springville city cemetery under the direction of A. V. Wheeler, undertaker. under-taker. The grave was dedicated by Bishop Wm. T. Tew. 1 Mrs. AVhitney was a T'tah pioneer ' of 1S49. She was horn at Mt. Pisgah. Iowa, in June IS 17. a short, time after the l.tirter l:iy Saints were driven out of Nauvoo her par- ents being among the exiles. She came to Springville wilh the curly settlers and has nuide her home at Mnplelon for the last MS yciirs where she bus been an active citizen, a faithful member of the church and distinguished for her service among the sick. She is survived by five children, '. Lewis J. Whitney and Mrs. Wayne !j Johnson of Springville, Harvey A.
