Show DEATH OVERTAKES LITTLE CHILD : S WHOSE PARENTS RACE FOR LIFE Though a motor car is swift, Its fastest speed is not sufficient when competing in a race wilh death. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey K. Stone were speeding from their homo in Holier City late Tuesday night in an attempt to reach Provo where their five-year-old son, Harry Hazen Stone, was to be met by a Provo physician for treatment, when their plans were Unvaried. Mr. and Mrs. Stone, acompanicd by Dr. J!. A. I'.annenberg, under whose care the lad had been during (bo past 21 days of his suffering with acute larnygitis, was nearly through Provo canyon when thev were warned that their son was losing in Die fight for life. Though Provo was but a few miles away and tbe car was going nt It's fullest rate of speed, the minutes seemed to pass as hours to the anxious parents. At about 1 o'clock Wednesday morning and still six miles away from their destination. little Harrv Stone answered the call of death, held tight In his father's arms. The jiIciih of his mother were to no avail and the sad group continued their now fruitless journey to Provo. The body was taken to the Hatch "'nneral Home from where it will be shipped to Mr. and Mrs. Stone's former home In Downey, Idaho, for interment. ' |
