Show MAPLETON FARMER DIES Charles Edward Allen, 77, well-. known farmer of Mapleton, died at the family home in that community Friday noon of causes incident to old age. Born at St. Louis, Mo., August 4, 3S-17, he accompanied his parents to Utah with an oxtcam in 1854. During the past 45 years he had lived at Mapleton where he was engaged en-gaged in fanning. He is an Indian war veteran and fought in the Black Hawk war. He is survived by nvo sons, five daughter, 30 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The children chil-dren are Marie E. Allan, Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Malmstonn, Mrs. Martha Houtz, William B. nnd Josepu G. Allan of Mapleton, Mrs. Rebecca A. Tweede, Payson ; Charles W. AUan. Provo ; Mrs. Hannah Barker, Joseph and Henry C. Allan of Soripgv'Ue. Funeral services will be hold in tht Mapleton ward chapel Sunday at 2 o'clock p. m. Intermeir: will be in the Evergreen cemetery at Springville Spring-ville under the direction of the 1 Claudin Funeral home. |
