Show "QUARTETS OF UTAH COUNTY VIE AT FAIR Male quartets throughout Utah ounty are preparing to give the finest rendition ever heard in this ,'slato of that splendid old song, "The Hoys of the Old ISrigado," by Park, 'which for more than half a century has stirred t ho patriotism of luil-, luil-, lions. This will take place when they meet in competition at the song contest, which will be one of tbe features fo tbe entertainments-to be given at the Flab county fair, which .opens Tuesday morning, September 20. The contest will take place Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock. The historic old song was the choice of the committee and singers, as the contest number to bo given, it is announced. Trophy Cup at Stalie There is keen interest in the contest, con-test, to which added impetus has been given by the announcement that the winners will be awarded the .1. Will Knight, silver trophy cup. Among the singers who have already announced" their intention of entering enter-ing are the Allen Brothers of Vineyard, Vine-yard, the Allen quartet of Springville Spring-ville and the reerless quartet of Mapleton. Others are expected to enter. Each quartet will be prepared pre-pared to sing one or more additional addition-al numbers, according to President L. L. Bunnell. Points of adjudication will be .'based on tbe following: (1) interpretation inter-pretation ; (2) intonation and pitch; (3) balance, rhythm, attack and release; re-lease; (5) diction.
