An interesting social affair was ! given Tuesday afternoon when Mrs. Edward Clyde entertained a number of friends in compliment to Mrs. Willord Mendenhall of Saff'ord, Arizona, and Mrs. Ann Mendenhall n" Salt Lake. The afternoon wis .-."pent with games and social chat, during which dainty refreshments were served by the hostess to the following guests: Mrs. S. L. Mendenhall, Men-denhall, Mrs. Blanch M. Condie, Mrs. Ethel Weight, Mrs. Mary M. ( Jakes, Miss Arleen Mendenhall, Mrs. Hilda Chernngton, Mrs. Ernest Ern-est Oakley, Mrs. Dinunlck Huntington, Hunting-ton, Mrs. Cornell Mendenhall and honor guests. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford entertained en-tertained at dinner Friday at their home in compliment to Heber Jenkins, Jen-kins, who is visiting here froi'u N'ephi. Mrs. Wilford Mendenhall of Saf-ford, Saf-ford, Arizona, is a ffiiest during this week at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Edward Clyde. Mrs. Mendenhall has spent the past month in Utah with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. M.. A. Boyer and daughter Thelma, and son Glenn, left Tnesdav morning for a week's wacat ion t rip. Ralph Child, sou of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Child, Jr., has been chosen from the First ward to fill a mission. mis-sion. He expects to leave some time in September. Mr. and Mrs. Frank West of Mendicino.
