Show fMAPLETON , NEWS ITEMS A very interesting program was enjoyed by teachers and pupils of the grade school Friday morning in the' school house. The fifth and j sixth grades had the program in charge and furnished a splendid entertainment.' en-tertainment.' Mrs. E. J. Hammond of Salt Lake City visited with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Harmer Sunday. The parents and teachers cf Ma-pleton Ma-pleton sponsored a picture show and entertainment Monday evening in the amusement hall. The film, "The Rose' of Kilbourne," was preceded by numbers from the grade schools. Principal Ellett was in charge. The following enjoyed a dinner Sunday at the home of Mrs. Mabel Hansen: Evelyn Warre'n, La Rie Dibble, Uda Holley. Ina Holley, Nel-da Nel-da Jensen, Lucille Lee, Bert Warren, War-ren, Welby Warre'n, Bob Snow, Ira Allan and Ronald Lee. Card games were enjoyed. Evelyn Warren, who is working in Salt Lake City, is visilins with friends and relative's in Mapleton. Mr. and Mrs. Au.ilin Houtz were Salt Lake visitors Friday and Saturday. Sat-urday. The Trail Builder boys ot the Primary were entertained Friday eve'ning at the home of their teacher, teach-er, Mrs. Mabel Hansen. A general good time was enjoyed. Mrs. Andrew Halversen has returned re-turned to her home after visiting lor some' time with her children in Ruth, Nevada. ' R. L. Woodward of Salt Lake Is visiting with friends in Mapleton. In honor of the out-going members mem-bers of the old testament class in Sunday school, a party was given Thursday evening. Miss Uda Hol-Jey Hol-Jey acted as hostess at her home1. In the early part of the evening various kinds of games furnished amusement. At midnight a delicious oyster supper was served Co the guests who included the following: Grace Led, Eva Harmer, Helen Gordon, Gor-don, Loeta Whiting, Ina Holley Blanche Whiting, LaRie Dibble Helen Whiting, Lucille Johnson' Donna Perry, Eva Allan, Elaine Bird, Clyde Larsen, Donald Hall Welby Warren, Arthur Mendenhall' Douglas Bills, Ted Johnson, James Holley, Donald Nielson, Elvin Binks, Louis Snow, Daniel LeRoy Paul Olsen and Fay Jensen, the teacheV, and the hostess. Mr. and Mrs.. Lee Plumlce and children Joe and Louise of Bingham Bing-ham are visiting 'with Mrs. Hazel Whiting. A cottage meeting was held at the home of Mr. and) Mrs. Austin Houtz last Friday night |
