Strong Tuesday evening when a number of his children and friends surprised him. The party was given in honor hon-or of three special occasions, that of Mr. Strong's seventieth birthday anniversay and the birthday anni-versarv anni-versarv of his youngest daughter Mrs. C. L. Nybo. Mr. Strong has thirteen living children .eight of !f whom were al Iho parly and sixty-i sixty-i seven grandchildren most of whom were also presold. A short business busi-ness meeting was held at which ways were discussed to obtain means to further the pioneer monument. monu-ment. A report of the recent auction sale was given hy Mrs. Willis Sum-sion Sum-sion and which proved that the sale v.as a very successful undertaking. Child; piano solo, Edna Reynolds ; prayer, Mrs. O. B. Huntington. Dainty refreshments re-freshments were served by Mrs. Eliza Boyer, Mrs. May Hatfield and the hostess. The Daughters of the Pioneers Camp No. 2 met at the home of Mrs. Willis Strong Thursday afternoon. Forty-five members were in attendance attend-ance also Mrs. George Rowland and Mrs. Lewis Oakley of Provo were honor guests. The following interesting interest-ing program was given: community singing, "Oh Say What is True;" prayer. Eliza T;horn; Harmonica solo, Ted Rowland; history of George Rowland by his daughter Fannie Rowland and Guy Strong; vocal solo, Hannah Rowland, accompanied ac-companied by Sarah Witney, also her father's favorite hymn.
