Show I STAKE MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS WILL ENTERTAIN Kolob Stake Mothers and Daughters' Daugh-ters' day will be celebrated at the Springvillc city park Friday afternoon, after-noon, beginning at 5 o'clock, under the direction of the Mutual Improvement Im-provement associations of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, Mapleton, Soldier Summit and Thistle. All mothers with their daughters, whether M. I. A. members mem-bers or not, are invited to attend and participate in the events of the afternoon and evening. . .Activities begin with games under un-der the supervision of Miss Vesta Anderson, who promises more than an hour of snappy entertainment. Following the games a short time will be given for lunch and general social chat. Ice cream and drinks will be sold on the park. A splendid program to be given as follows, will conclude the day's entertainment: Representation of seasons, First ward Gleaners class; short numbers including vocal duet, Helen and Margaret Fox; solo dance, Gena ' Smith; string duet, Hah Stevenson ; and Ida Hoffman; musical reading, Blanch G. Hales, all from, Second ward M. I. A. The Third ward Oleaner class will present "The Day," a pageant dance in costume. The Fourth ward will also present a pageant entitled "Mothers and Daughters' Day," Mapleton; reading, read-ing, Maxine Davis; whistling solo, Jennie Marsh; vocal duet, Helen Carnesecia and Marie Jensen. Special Spe-cial numbers will also be presented from the Soldier Summit ward and Thistle. Miss Floss Harmer is general chairman and is being assisted by the following chairmen of the various vari-ous wards: First, Lois Blachard; Second, Portia Davis; Third, Jessee Packard; Fourth, Mary Roylance; Mapleton, Vanda Jensen. |
