Show a resident of Canada. I She was born in Iceland. Octo- ber 1, 141, and emitfiaied to this country 45 years ago. Slip f irsi settled in Spanish Fork and then after 17 years the family moved to Canada. Mrs. Gudmundson was a pioneer to the settlement of Ray- ' mond, where she spent about eight years. She has lived in Ivlapleton for many years and has a host of friends there. Arnold Ire has retti.-ned !'i Mil a week's viit to Duchesne where her husband is working. Dallas Jensen came from Du-i Du-i in-siie t his week and is visiting his parents in Mapleton. Mi', and Mrs. Albert Fullmer of Manan, Idaho, spent Thursday and I'Yiday with relatives fit Mapleton Mi. Fullmer recently returned tiom an L. D. S. mission in the northern -tales. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jensen and daughters, Fern and Merrell visited last week in Columbia with Mr. and 1 Mrs. T. L. Averet and Mrs. Susie Fullmer. C.eoige Murray who has been in southern- Utah during the summer is now visiting his mother, Mrs. Myra Murray at Mapleton. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Binks and two daughters of Soldier Summit are visiting friends and relatives here. Jesse L. Harmon of Sullivan. Mo., is visiting with relatives in Mapleton. Maple-ton. M i s. J. Davis and Mrs. Leo Harmer entertained enter-tained at the home of the latter-Tuesday latter-Tuesday afternoon in compliment, to their mother, Mrs. Hannah Gud-nnmlson, Gud-nnmlson, who was eighty-three years old that day. Friends from Provo, Spanish For It and Spring-ville Spring-ville in addition to many from Mapleton were in attendance. A dinner was served in the late afternoon after-noon to about 40 guests present and music and social chat were enjoyed after. Mrs. Gudrnundson is the mother of five living daughters, all of whom wcro present at the party except Mrs. Charles Johnson who is |
