Show VICTOR SIMONS PASSES AWAY IN ARIZONA i Payson Boy Dies of Tubercu-I losis Contracted While in the Naval Service i PAYSOX. Oct. 12. Word has been received from Tucson, Ariz. ti'lliiiK of tho death there Friday morning of Victor Simons, son of Mr. und Mrs. Grant Simons of ray- son. Tin- body will arrive here; .sometime Monday and funeral services serv-ices will he held in the Xebo stake tabernacle under the direction of Bishop Alfred It. Wilson of the first ward, Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment will be in the l'rovo city cemetery. Victor Simons was born In ray-son ray-son on November 20, 1J(0. When he was six years of age the family moved to Mammoth returning to their home here ni 1921. Three years ago he enlisted in the U. S. navy, serving on the Battleship Texas. lie was home on a furlough in July 1024. In March of this year be was taken to the Naval hospital at Portsmouth, Virginia, for' an operation. lie remained there for three months and during that time contracted tuberculosis. His parents obtained his release and he came home the last of May. On August 12 he married Miss Essie Snyder of l'rovo. With his bride and his brother Harold he left in September for Arizona for his health. .They were with him when death came. Besides his parents and young bride he is survived by the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Edda Noon, Harold Simons, and Miss Valentine Simons of Salt Lake,. Blaine and George D. Simmons of Provo. |
