Show Dinner honors son made new office manager Honoring their son Jay Beck, who is moving to Flagstaff, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. Lester Beck entertained at a family patio dinner party over the weekend at their home. Jay, who has been with the National Cash Register Company Com-pany for the past six and a half years, has been promoted to office manager at Flagstaff and is leaving to take over his new duties August 1. He with his wife and family have been living at Midvale. Another son Jerry D. Beck and wife and family of Ogden, were also guests at his parents home. He is also employed with the same company. Jay is reported to be the youngest on record to receive an office managership from the company. He has had extensive ex-tensive schooling with the organization or-ganization in Dayton, Ohio; Santa Rosa, Calif., and Denver, Den-ver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Hailey Bird and daughter Carol and son Tom of Oakland, Calif., visited with relatives and friends in Springville Thursday enroute to their home from New York City, where they had visited his sister, Mrs. Charles (Ail-een) (Ail-een) Harding and family. Mr. and Mrs. Don Stevens oi Clearfield visited during the weekend with relatives anc' friends here spending some time with her father, George Weight, who is at a rest home in Provo. |
