Show City purchases new equipment, third in state A much needed addition to city-owned equipment is the new High Ranger recently purchased pur-chased specifically for the electric light department. The High Ranger is especially espec-ially useful for repairing sem-iphores sem-iphores as it eliminates traffic traf-fic danger. The equipment can extend from the side of the road to as far as fifty feet and can revolve in a 360 degree de-gree circle. The new piece of equipment is valuable also in trimming trees which constantly interfere inter-fere with power lines, having a hydroulic nipper and power saw. All controls for operation of the High Ranger are in the box with the operator. Reported to be the third in the state, it was purchased at a cost of $10,000 and there is also a new truck on which it is mounted. |
