Show Clinic Friday for pre-school children, adults Polio and DPT series and booster shots for adults and pre-school children will be given giv-en at an immunization clinic Friday, April 7, at the Junior high school, announces Mrs. G. Fred Clark, PTA Council president. The time is from 9 a.m., to 12 noon and from 7 p.m., to 9 p.m. The clinic is being sponsored by the Springville physicians in cooperation with the Public Health Department and the PTA Council. A small charge will be made to cover expenses. expen-ses. Governor George D. Clyde has proclaimed April as polio education month stressing that polio is not a disease of any particular group but strikes any segment of population. He warned that the nation is facing an emergency with the possibility of another polio epidemic seen in the report that 38 percent of children five years and under are not fully vaccinated, while 50 percent of adults, 20 to 40 years and 85 percent of those over forty have not been vaccinated. |
