Show School board aids ail project al Elementary Principal's Convention Con-vention held recently at Atlantic At-lantic City, New Jersey. Mr. Grotegut stated that research presented "proves beyond any shadow of doubt that children are taught better today than at any previous time. Children, as a whole, read better, spell At the invitation of Principal Princi-pal Paul K. Walker, the Nebo school board voted to assist the current Art Exhibit with $150, at the April meeting. At a previous meeting a similar amount was voted for the Spanish Fork Livestock Show. Included in other business taken ta-ken up at the meeting was a report on the progress made on the Spanish Fork senior high school, by Supt. Russell Stansfield. Supt. Stansfield presented a letter to the Board from Principal Prin-cipal Arthur Grotegut of Spanish Span-ish Fork expressing appreciation apprecia-tion for having had the opportunity oppor-tunity of attending the Nation- better, do arithmatic better, and think better than they did in the 'good old days.' " He further stated that he had received re-ceived many ideas and suggestions sugges-tions that should result in improved im-proved teaching in the Thur-ber Thur-ber school. The superintendent reported that the changes made in the School lunch program are proving prov-ing very satisfactory as far as a more efficient and effective effec-tive delivery system is concerned. con-cerned. Supt. Sansfield also gave to the Board a list of War Surplus Sur-plus materials obtained and distributed to the schools of the District so far this year. |
