Show Springville man finishes course Earl Halverson, 155 B St., this city, was among 19 officers offi-cers and delegates of International Interna-tional Association of Machinists' Machin-ists' local lodges throughout the west who completed the Northwest Machinist's Leadership Leader-ship School at Idaho State College Col-lege Friday. The delegates were honored at a banquet-luncheon in the Student Union and each re- ceived a certificate of completion comple-tion from Frank D. Seelye, director di-rector of the ISC Bureau of Business Research. During the five-week basic school, the union officials attended at-tended classes in legislative issues, is-sues, the IAM, effective speaking, speak-ing, human relations, union administration ad-ministration and the steward system. John Brumm, director of education ed-ucation for the IAM, was coordinator co-ordinator for the school, one of 12 sponsored throughout the country by the IAM. ISC was co-sponsor of the Northwest session. Attending were delegates of local lodges in Arizona, Cali-f Cali-f ornia, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Mon-tana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington. |
