Gabbitas of 480 E. 2nd No., en-listed in the U. S. Navy on July 28, according to a report from Merlin K. Jones, ADC, USN. They enlisted through the Provo Navy Reruiting Station and were given the Oath of Allegiance at the Navy Recruiting Station in Fort Datouglas. The young men will receive their recruit training the Naval Training Center in San Diego, California. At the completion of training they will have a 14 day 'boot leave' after which they will go to the Naval Air Techni-cal Training Center at Memphis, Tennessee to attend a Navy trade school in Aviation Mechanics. |
