Show Civic meeting reminders this week Kiwanis Kiwanis club members will hear the executive's side of the labor-management problem confronted - by the railroads, at their meeting tonight, at 7 p.m., at the Westside School, under direction of President Howard Maycock: Ernest A. Strong is toastmaster. Speakers will be Henry J. Riggert, a Denver and Rio Grande railroad executive and J. K. Speight, traffic manager for the company. They will discuss some of the problems being be-ing encountered by the railroads throughout the country making mak-ing comparisons of the problems of today with those of years past. At a future meeting of the club, it is planned to hear the labor side of the railroad problem, it was stated. Jaycees Speak-up Jaycee finals will be this evening at 8 p.m., at Melody Inn, under direction of Lamar Smith, club president. The program is being arranged by John Swenson, Speak-up chairman, who invites everyone to be in attendance. |
