Show In the reclamation of the Buck-horn Buck-horn Flats, Emery county is making mak-ing a strenuous effort to provide homes for its surplus population. It is a most commendable undertaking. The people of Provo have set on foot the agitation of having the State capital removed from Salt Lake City. That is displaying nerve which even Salt Lakers should admire. The Mt. Pleasant Pyramid has been changed to an eight page pa- f er, on the same form as the Free Vess. A new press has been installed in-stalled and the Pyramid is now printed better than it ever was before. J. T. Pyles has retired from the editorship of the Nephi Record, having sold his interest in the business busi-ness to his partners, J. L. Ewing and W. L. Cook. The Record is the best paper Nephi has had for some years. Mark llanna is opposed to the Ohio State Republican convention indorsing the nomination of President Presi-dent Roosevelt. Mark and his kind seem to be overlooking "the swing around the circle" which the President Presi-dent is making. Mr. Roosevelt knows a thing or two about politics himself. Whenever the trusts want any. thing they begin working in the other direction. They wanted the Elkins bill passed at the last session ses-sion of congress, and that is why they sent those telegrams to the Senate asking that it be killed. They knew that would do the trick. That is why, at .this time, they are giving out the impression that they do not want Roosevelt nominated next year. They know the people will give them what they do not want. Watch the game. Some gloomy reports have been sent out from Mt. Pleasant as a result of the late storms, one report stating that the losses of the sheepmen sheep-men will reach fully $75,000. The storms of the past ten days have been unusually severe all over the country for this season of the year, and in some parts, notably Montana, Mon-tana, Northwest Territory, Kansas and Oklahoma, immense damage has been wrought. This particular locality has been most fortunate. The storm has been of incalculable benefit to this vicinity. The crops are in fine condition and so far no losses whatever have been reported to the livestock interests. If you desire a good complexion use Moki Tea, a pure herb drink.
