Show 1 1 Local News. - Many of our hunters are at Fish Lake this week. Mrs. Ella LaFavor of Salt Lake City is visiting with relatives in the city. Born To the wife of Mr. Tom Braithwaite, Wednesday, Oct. 8th, a boy. Born To the wife of Mr. A. II. Christenson, Sunday, Oct. 12th, a girl. Born To the wife of Mr. C. P. Ostler, Monday morning, Oct. 13, a girl. Mrs. Christenson of Gunnison, mother of A. II. Christenson, is visiting in the city. Joseph Braithwaite will be married mar-ried in the Temple to-day to Miss Marie Simonson of Ephraim. Dr. Jensen of Ephraim, who has been down with smallpox, is released re-leased from quarantine and is again attending to his practice. . . . One of the twin babies of Mr. and Mrs. Raphael Buchanan died on Saturday and was buried Sunday. Sun-day. The little one was two months old. Peter Poulson of Sanford, Colo., an old-time resident of Manti, visited vis-ited friends here and at Gunnison the past week. This is Mr. Poulson Poul-son 's first visit to the old home in over twenty years. Born To the wife of Mr. John . Leonard of Ogden, at the home of her mother, Mrs. J. Fielding, this city, Monday, Oct. 13th, a boy. Papa Leonard arrived yesterday to greet his son and heir. Mrs. D. M. Crawford of Monroe is dangerously ill with pneumonia, from which she has been ill over a week. At last reports she seemed some better but was still in a very critical condition, says the Rich-held Rich-held Reaper. Marriage licenses were granted to the following persons yesterday: Bruce Seely and Pauline Ilafen of Mt. Pleasant; Thos. J. Morley, Jr. and Pernella S. Blackham of Moroni; Mo-roni; Charles E. Ferre and Lydia Kearnes of Gunnison. Dr. Sears made three trips to Sterling this week to attend a diphtheria diph-theria patient in the family of John Thompson, the patient being Mr. Thompson's niece, who is doing nicely at this writing. A quarantine quaran-tine has also been placed on the home of a Mr. Peterson, and the schools have been closed to prevent a further spread of the disease.
