Show The eastern papers are beginning to discuss the "mysterious supply" of anthracite coal, which is as vi'o-- o orous now as three months ago when the strike was inaugurated. The fact of the matter is, the mine operators had' their bins full, and tho cheapest way to curtail production produc-tion was to bring about a strike. This would give the operators the excuse they needed to put up the price of coal to a point which would satisfy their inordinate greed. To have closed the mines summarily and shoved up tho price would have been so palpable an action that the long-sufterino- public would have rebelled. So the astute Morgan and his co-conspirators put on the pressure, the strike occurred and the price of coal went out of sight. When the supply is exhausted we shall see what will happen.
