Show The Utah State Fair. The directors of the Utah State fair are making preparations for a large crowd at the opening of the fair the last day of September and the first four days of October. The buildings are nearly all completed and everything will be in good shape for a great show. One of the oreat features of the last fair were the high-class performances given under the direction of J. G. McDonald, Mc-Donald, chairman of the amusement amuse-ment committee. Mr. McDonald is chairman of the amusement committee com-mittee this year and the executive committee has voted him a much larger sum of money to be used this year, and Mr. McDonald says that this year there will be a $2 show for 25 cents. On the opening day, Sept. 30th, the Society will give first-class horse races and also on Thursday and 'Saturday, October 2nd and 4th. On the 1st and 3rd of October Octo-ber some other attractions will be provided on the race track that will be very interesting to visitors. The admission to the grounds, which includes the exhibits in all departments and the various entertainments enter-tainments provided, will only be 25 cents for adults and 10 cents for children. We commend the State fair officials for their action in providing pro-viding these entertainments for the people and placing the admission fee so low that none may be kept out on account of the price. Success to the State fair of 1902! We hope it will be a hummer. |
