Show h Obituary It was sad to learn of the death of Mrs Clara Brockbank Pierce who in her young womanhood was forced to relinquish all rights to this life and enter the realms beyond Mrs Pierce or Clara as she was more familiarly known was a dearly beloved girl who recently left our city bate to make the home of her husband both pleasant and happy Since her mar iage to Mr Pierce she has resided at Salem We are Informed that Clara was sick about three weeks during which time she suffered quite severely The funeral services were held at it Salem Tho beautiful floral offerings offer-Ings bespoke tho respect and gratitude in which she was held by those who knew her best The singing was appropriate and pleasingly rendered I Very interesting remarks were made by > Bishop Snell Bishop Argyle Frank Hanks William Hanks and Bishop Taylor Much was said and could be aid of the worthy character of our departed sister She was a young woman of rare moral worth It seemed hat her only desire in life was to do food Shu was naturally religiously inclined and was always found to bo an energetic worker in whatever capacity those in authority saw fit to place her In her early youth she labored in the Primary organization later she assisted In the Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Association and did what she could to instruct the children in Sunday School work So willing was she to assist in the auxiliary organisations of the Church that the Relief Society round in her a most faithful secretary True to her mission in life she assumed as-sumed the cares of wedlock remember log that sincerity honesty earnestness and cheerfullneHs are the foundation of all worthy wifehood Knowing Clara to bo an obedient child an honest worker and a true Latter Day Saint wo feel to say to her parents brothers siators and husband Mourn not tho dead who calmly lie By Gods own hand composed to rest For hark I A voice from yonder sky Proclaims them blestsupremly blest With them the toil and strife are oer Their labors end thcirsorrows cease For they have gained the blissful shore Vhere Whore dwells serene eternal peace Mourn not the dead whose lives declare That they have nobly borne their part For victorys golden crown they wear Reserved for every faithful heart They rest with glory wrapped around Immortals on the scroll of fame Their works their praises shall resound Their name an everlasting nameDrop name-Drop the warm tear for Jesus wept Sorrow shall find relief in tears But let no secret grief be kept I To waste the soul through namoles years They rest In hope their hallowed dust Is watched and from the grave shall rise Earth shall restore her sacred trust Made all immortal for the skies |
