Show Funeral of Sarah Davis Funeral services were held last Fri day at the Third ward meeting house over the remains of Sarah Davis The services were presided over by C W Booth and was under the auspices of I the Sabbath school The choir sang Home Sweet Home prayer David Williams after prayer about 24 chil dren of the advanced primary class of which Sarah was a member marched into the pulpit and sang Peace to the Little One led by Mrs Annie Beck Marinus Larsen was the first speaker He spoke words of peace to the parents and at the close of his speed Mr Mary Nave and Mrs Lizzie Evans sang a duett Saved by Grace Ed M Rowe delivered a very eloquent address on the life and disposition of the deceased de-ceased next the smaller members the primary class went into the pulpit I and sang Jesus Thou Art Sweet and Mild led by Mrs Annie Beck C W Booth made the closing speech Choir sang Nearer My God to Thee Th school children sang as the casket was bourn out Our Loving Savior Sarah was born November 81899 she was loving and lovable she was a beautiful singer and a punctual attendant attend-ant at the Sabbath school never missing miss-ing her place the class unless prevented by sickness None knew her but to love her The bier was covered by to most beautiful flowers woven into designs de-signs The sympathy of the entire community goes out to Mr land Mrs Lehi Davis in the hour of their sad lie > reavement |
