Show OBITUARY Mrs Jane J Bradford who pnssed away at her home in this city Saturday evening August 14 1909 was the daughter of Charles nnd Mary Ann Jones he was born in Welling Kent Co E < gland January 1849 She came with her parents to Utah in the early fifties and October 15 1801 married mar-ried Pleasant S Bradford her sister Mary marrying his brother Sylvester Bradford the samo day They located on the farms owned by them at the present pre-sent time There they have lived 45 years side by side prior to her death which took place very suddenly She was bedfast but two days although she has Buffered severe illnesses on numerous numer-ous nccasions for the past three years She was the mother of 13 children 7 of whom are still living 19 grand children chil-dren survive her Aside from the large family of her own she has aided in the rearing and support of several homeless and orphan children Her husband proceeded her to the great heyond two years and nine months Mrs Bradford has been prominent in Relief Society Sunday School and Primary Pri-mary work She was valiant for the truth and delighted in all the principles of the Gospel She was beloved by all who knew her for her many sterling qualities of mind and character ever willing to aid those in trouble An evidence of the esteem and high regard in which Mrs Bradford was held was shown by the large number num-ber > who assembled August ICth at 3 oclock in the city pavilion to pay n last tribute of respect to her memory Bishop Argyle presided at the services The speakers were J Preston Creer II C Jex Henry Gardner and Samuel Jrockbank all of whom dwelt feelingly on the good work accomplished by her and of her noble life and character Beautiful musical numbers were rendered ren-dered by Edward Williams and Lauretta Evans also by Edward M Rowe and sisters Floral tributes in great profusion decked the casket in which reposed the body of one of Spanish Forks most beloved loved and respected citizens |
