Show Local Jots i house for sale, or rent For particulars apply to Mrs. Mary E, A qz Amu A young man named Merrill of Ala bama, is in here visiting with hid cou sin, J. W. Thomas of Leland. ; , Dear Press;-L- ast Monday I returned from a two week's visit to Tucker. While there a very sad event happened. On Sunday afternoon, June 13, the 4- son of Mr. and Mrs. Bordner years-ol- d was drowned in the river. The little fellow was playing with his y ears-ol- d brother rolling rocks down the hillside into the river, when he overbalanced and fell head first into the stream, striking a rock which broke his neck Mis Drotner gave the alarm and soon the whele community was out searcing the river. The search was continued all day Monday and until Tuesday after noon, when the body was found four miles below where he fell in. Funeral services were held Wednesday after' noon at the Bordner home. The day the body was found I received a box of beautiful flowers, which with wild flowers gathered from the hillsides were arranged by Mrs. Noakes into very artistic designs which entirely covered the casket. The sad event east a gloom over the whole community and touched a chord of sympathy which vibrated in The funeral every heart in Tucker. was attended by everybody in town. By request I conducted the services and dedicated the grave. Mr. and Mrs. Bordner expressed their heartfelt thanks for the sympathy and aid rendered them in their sad bereavement. Very truly yours, Samhel Corn a by. 6-- ; Robt Sneddon of Salt Lake is in town putting in the steam heating apparatus at the Second ward meeting i , house. John A. Lewis, formerly of this city, who now owns a farm in Snake River Valley, Idaho, is in town visiting relatives and freinds. He called at this office and left a pamphlet describing the wonderful resources of that country. Claud Saxey, of the U. S. Postal Service, is home from Idaho, where he has been working the past six weeks, He will leave soon for Ogden, where he will take up the run between that city and San Francisco, While driving up town Wednesday afternoon with his wife and little son W. A. Jones' horse became frightened by the breaking of an axle clip and ran away, smashing the buggy badly. Mr. Jones sustained a slight injury to one foot. The others were not injured. We note with pleasure the passing of a city ordinance pertaining to the regu lation of electric wiring systems. This Stella Huntington, the daughter of Mrs. Llewellyn Thomas of Palmyra was taken to Salt Lake last Monday by Dr Hagan, where she was examined by Dr. Richards. It was feared she was coming down with Bight's disease, but will get along O.K. Do you eat enough of this Notice of Annual School The great benefit in health and strength that always is enjoyed by regular eaters of good oatmeal is known the world over. Every year there are more and more eaters of Quaker Oats, which it recognized in this country and in Europe as the one perfect oatmeal. All the experiments of the government food experts and the athletic trainers of Yale University prove that cereal .eaters are the strongest and healthiest, and Quaker Oats stands at the head of the list of cereal foods. It is not only the best food, but it's the cheap est food on earth. Eat it daily for breakfast. For city trade Quaker Oats it packed in the regular size packages, but for those who are not conveniently near the store for daily shopping the large size family package is just the thing.
