Last Saturday morning Mrs. Johanna Peterson, one of the early settlers of Spanish Fork, passed quietly away at her home In the Third ward. She bad not been feeling well for a couple of days, but was up and about as usual. She got up feeling fairly well, and then wenb and laid down, and a few minutes later her daughter, Mrs. A. W. Johnson, discovered that her mother was dead. She was 79 years of age, and had lived here over forty years. The funeral services were held In the Third ward meeting house yesterday. Pun " ,l' Will Johnson was accidentally shot last Saturday by- - Earl Adamson of Eureka. Deceased was the only son of Orson Johnson and Mag gie Chisholm. The accident occurred at Chris Fergusons- - place, south ot town. The two boys were visiting there and had just returned from a shooting trip around the premises. While unloading the 22 caliber rifle It was accidentally discharged, entering the boya body between the fourth and fifth ribs, and piercing the heart. Dr. Hogan came as soon as possible, but the boy was dead on his arrival. Funeral services were held at the home of his uncle. Chris Ferguson. Bishop Argyle of the Second ward presided and also spoke.
