The party returned on the evening train and were unanimous in their decision that Mr. and Mrs. Rockhill never do things by halves. Last Sunday two daughters of Bishop John L. Butler were visiting friends here., John L. Butler was the first bishop of this city and was one of the ill fated settlers of Palmyra in 1852, which was located near the Spanish Fork River three miles west of Spanish Fork City. Bishop Butler is an historic character from the days of the Mormon troubles in the State of Missouri. His daughters that were here are Charity Thornton age 74 and Tuttle age 68. Mrs. Thornton is a widow and resides at Pinto Creek. Iron County, Utah. Mrs. Tuttle whose husband is still living resides in Manti. The ladies were over at Tintic on smelter day, July 24th.
