Show I I BENJAMIN NOTES 11 Young Lady Called Home I Funeral Services were hold In the Benjnthln meeting house Saturday afternoon over the remains of Carrie Stewart who died at her sisters home in Benjamin last Thursday afternoon at the ago of eighteen yearn Miss Stewart had been autrerlpg from consumption con-sumption for about a year but was only confined to her bed about two week The meeting house was crQwded to its fullest capacity with friends and relatives who had come to pay their last respects to the departed Tho room was beautifully decorated in white and profuse and tasteful arrangements of flowers were much in evidence I Bishop John Johnson presided over the services The opening prayer was offered by Alpheus Bingham The choir sang Though Deepening Trials Throng Your Way The speakers were Charles Hawkins B M Davis and Joseph Hand all of whom bore n faithful testimony to the beautiful life and character of tho deceased They dwelt upon her earnest earn-est workings in the church and her t efforts to do good upon the earth They spoke of how her friend and relatives would miss her and spoke words of comfort and consolation to her parents and relatives Miss Pearl Ludlow sang very beautifully beauti-fully 40 Grave WhcrJ is Thy Victory assisted by the choir in hho chorus Bishop Lorenzo Argylo of LakeShore Lake-Shore offered the benediction In tho death of Miss Stewart all who knew her keenly realized their loss She was a true friend and her devotion to those she loved would mnko n bright chapter in any life While she is gone from the scenes the conflicts tho sorrows and pleasures of life she will still live in the hearts oi those who knew her best Her future was full pf promise and I wedarc not ask why aha wan takon from us in her prime unless as flowers are picked before the frost finds thorn 1 that wo maynofiylhiesa their lei nyr Mr and Mrs J W Stewart nnd family wish to thank all those who ro kindly assisted them during their wl bereavement |
