Show tr Tintics Great Smelter Day At least four special trains will be run as follows Over the Salt Lake Routeleave Nepht about 7 am taking tak-Ing in all the Utah Valley towns as far north as Lehi Junction thence to Fairfield Fair-field to connect with the train from Mcrcur thence over the old line to the Tintic smelter Another train leaves Salt Lake at 745 via Tooele and Stockton Stock-ton Rates from Salt Lake and Nephl 2 for the round trip Provo 1 Rio Grande specials will leave Salt Lake at 8 am and another train starts from Provo All trains land passengers at the smelter bowery and special train service will be arranged between all Tintic towns Return trains leave at 7 to 10 p mAt m-At 1 oclock the grand barbecue for 5000 people will be served free at the smelter grounds Short addresses will be delivered by such prominent people as US Senator Sutherland who spent his boyhood home in Tintic President Joseph Smith is expected and other well I known people Music will be furnished by the Mammoth and Eureka bonds and local singers Among the features will 1 be the public wedding of a young Tin tic couple Two of the original locators of the first mine in Tintic are expected and the olden days will be represented as well as the present It is probable that the festivities will close with a grand illumination of Eureka Peak Parties desiring to spend another day or two in viewing the resources of Tintic can secure an extension of time on their tickets after arriving by paying the difference between the special rate and the one fare for round trip rate An information bureau will be established es-tablished on the grounds for the benefit of the visitors where accomodations for the night may be secured |
